SUPPLY CHAIN AND TENDER INFORMATION SESSION

The Department of Economic Development and Tourism has made a call to people living with disability to attend a supply chain and tender information session at the Metlife Towers in Kimberley on 24 October 2024. The initiative was encouraged by the plea that when there are opportunities arising in this economic space, there is lack of activity from the group especially when it comes to tenders and supply chain queries. It is also to keep the group active in the economic space.

The department made presentations on supply chain process and CSD applications. The group was also encouraged to ensure that their companies are always compliant when they submit their documents for tendering or rendering a service. Department of treasury presented on how you should keep your company in a good standing position and what documents should always be in order.

The group welcomed the information shared by both departments and made a request that they will appreciate if the department will look into creating a space and opportunity where they can compete and operate and not be classified with other groups as they have more advantage. The day was concluded when the group was offered registration and to check the compliance status at the venue.
