Celebrating Women’s Month in Namakwa: SEDA Women’s Month Programme

In celebration of Women’s Month, the Department of Economic Development and Tourism (DEDaT) had the privilege of participating in a special programme hosted by Seda at the Springbok Inn. Our dedicated officials from the Empowerment Unit were honoured to attend and share the stage to discuss the various initiatives that our department has implemented to uplift and empower women across the Namakwa region.

Our department's unwavering commitment to the empowerment of women is evident in the significant impact of our initiatives. Many women have benefited from specialised training programs, non-financial support, and other resources tailored to their needs. We are dedicated to building on this progress and ensuring that women in the region have the tools and opportunities they need to thrive.

Our goal is to create an environment where women-owned SMMEs can flourish, whether through skill development, mentorship, or access to markets. By fostering collaboration and driving impactful initiatives, we, together with our partners, are ensuring that women are not only supported but are positioned to succeed and reach their full potential.

Together, we are dedicated to making a lasting, positive difference and ensuring that women across Namakwa and beyond are equipped to achieve their dreams.
