Thumps up for Farm Workers Increment in the Province

The Northern Cape Department of Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development is welcoming the increment of farm workers in the province next month with open hands.  This after the Department of Labour announced yesterday that farm workers salary will increase by 75 cents per hour in march. Farm workers are leaving under abject poverty and appalling conditions therefore an increment will assist where possible. Hence an integrated approach is vital in solving challenges facing farm workers and farm dwellers.

The increment though not much will ease the burden on them as most of them are trapped in a circle of poverty and the possibility of farm children finishing schooling are minimal. End
