{"id":6,"date":"2011-06-13T06:24:48","date_gmt":"2011-06-13T06:24:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.northerncape.gov.za\/otp\/2011\/06\/13\/policy-and-strategic-services\/"},"modified":"2011-06-13T06:24:48","modified_gmt":"2011-06-13T06:24:48","slug":"policy-and-strategic-services","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.northerncape.gov.za\/otp\/2011\/06\/13\/policy-and-strategic-services\/","title":{"rendered":"Policy and Strategic Services"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Programme 3: Policy and Strategic Services<\/h2>\n<p>The purpose of this programme is to co-ordinte and facilitate intergrated plannig for all spheres of government, as well as monitoring and evaluating of Intergovernmental Relations policy and programme implementations.<\/p>\n<h3>The programme consists of the following sub-programmes:<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Special Programmes<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Special Programmes consists of the following sub-units:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Office on the Status of Women (OSW)<\/li>\n<li>Office on the Rights of the Child (ORC)<\/li>\n<li>Office on the Status of Persons with Disabilities (OSPD)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Intergovernmental Relations<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Intergovernmental Relations (IGR) Unit renders supporrt to the Premier to enable government to gear itself towards an intergrated, co-ordinated service delivery through intergoernmental relations.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Provincial Policy Management<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Policy and Planning &#8211; The Policy and Planning Unit on all aspects relaed to policy co-ordiation, intergration research development, and implementation and manages special crosscutting programmes and projects.<\/li>\n<li> Special Projects and Government Programme of Action &#8211; Responsible for consolidating and summarising information to enable Premier and Director General to report on special projects and performing high level co-ordination functions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Traditional Leadership and Institutions<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The role of this unit is to render efficient and sufficient managemnt, administration and financial support to monter departmental implementaion of policies and programmes relating to Traditional Leaders.<\/p>\n<p><strong>INTERVENTION PROGRAMMES:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Premier&#8217;s Trust Fund<\/li>\n<li>Mme re ka Thusa Trust<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Programme 3: Policy and Strategic Services The purpose of this programme is to co-ordinte and facilitate intergrated plannig for all spheres of government, as well as monitoring and evaluating of Intergovernmental Relations policy and programme implementations.
