General Otola) also attended the meeting that deliberated on issues including the Integrated Crime and Violence Prevention Strategy; Quarter One Crime Statistics; types of crime and crime hotspots; update on police station infrastructure and building of police station and building of police stations across the country, and the capacitation of the Station Commanders and the Police Station Management. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; line-height: 107%; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">Presentations were also received from amongst others the DPCI (Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation), IPID (Independent Police Investigative Directorate), and PSIRA (Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"index.php\/news-a-events\/photo-gallery\/category\/71-minmec-2024\">Click here for more pictures<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>MEC Bentley Vass responsible for the Department of Transport, Safety &amp; Liaison, and COGHSTA, today (25 September 2024), participated in the first MINMEC (Minister and MECs) meeting of the Police in the seventh administration, Pretoria (Gauteng).
