Strives to maximise access to affordable transport services. &nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"csColumn_text\"><strong>Services<\/strong><\/div>\n<div class=\"csColumn_text\">\n<ul>\n<li>Monitoring of Public Transport Grant services.<\/li>\n<li>Monthly meetings with service providers<\/li>\n<li>Payment processing of service providers relating to Public Transport Operations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<strong>Functions<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Ensure contract compliance by contracted public transport operators.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate monthly monitoring in terms of the utilization of subsidized services and learner transport.<\/li>\n<li>Attend monthly monitoring meetings, compile and submit progress reports.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure the maintenance of the approved public transport network documents (surveys);<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate&nbsp; PTIC meetings as and when required, compile and submit progress reports;<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate the appointment of external monitors;<\/li>\n<li>Convert month to month subsidised public transport contracts to new tendered \/ negotiated contracts.<\/li>\n<li>Conduct spot checks at schools and contracted routes.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>Facilitate the procurement\/appointment of new service providers.<\/li>\n<li>Verify PTOG reports to ensure compliance as prescribe by Division of Revenue Act and submit reports to National Transferring Officer (NDoT);<\/li>\n<li>Allocate budget for the respective contracted operators.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that contracted operators&rsquo; claims are within their allocated budget.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"csColumnGap\" style=\"margin: 0px; padding: 0px; width: 0%; float: left;\">&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div style=\"width: 0px; line-height: 0; clear: both; font-size: 0px; float: none; display: block; visibility: hidden;\">&nbsp;<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dept Director:&nbsp; Public Transport Services&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp; Tel:&nbsp; 053 839 1727 Email:&nbsp; &nbsp; PA: Ms A Morolong&nbsp; Tel: 053 807 4812 Email: Amorolong@ncpg.gov.za&nbsp; Purpose To provide safe, reliable, economical and accessible transport services.
