""In celebration of Women’s Month, the Department of Economic Development recently honoured 15 women entrepreneurs who completed the Hair and Beauty training in Kuruman, John Taolo Gaetsewe District, in June 2024.

To support their entrepreneurial journey, the department handed over essential equipment, providing them with the tools needed to grow their businesses, create job opportunities, and compete effectively in the beauty industry.

This initiative, part of the department’s ongoing efforts to uplift women-owned SMMEs, equips participants with the skills and resources necessary to thrive in a competitive market. By investing in these entrepreneurs, the department reaffirms its commitment to fostering economic growth and supporting women’s advancement in business.

According to Ms Motsage from Women Empowerment “We are proud to stand by these inspiring women as they embark on their journey towards building successful and sustainable businesses”
