CREATING SAFER EXPERIENCES FOR ALL: PROVINCIAL TOURISM SAFETY WORKSHOP

The Department of Economic Development and Tourism was proud to announce the successful hosting of the Provincial Tourism Safety Workshop, an initiative to strengthen proactive measures to address tourism safety across the Northern Cape.

The workshop marked a pivotal step in implementing the Provincial Tourism Safety, Awareness, and Communications Strategy, which sought to create a secure environment for visitors and locals. By fostering collaboration among key stakeholders, the workshop highlighted the importance of safety as a foundational element of a thriving tourism industry.

Tourism plays a vital role in the Northern Cape’s economy, and ensuring the well-being of all who engage with the province was recognised as a shared responsibility. Through education, awareness, and collective action, the workshop aimed to build safer experiences and enhance the confidence of travellers exploring our beautiful province.
