Description: Provide strategic direction and leadership in order to facilitate the sustained growth, transformation and diversification of the provincial economy
Purpose: Continuous planning and review of the Department’s operations is executed from this sub-programme to impact across the activities of the organisation. These include implementing mechanisms to monitor the department’s strategies, driving the economic development strategies within provincial government and providing effective administrative support. The aim is to reach 4-6% growth by 2014 and to halve unemployment by 2014
