{"id":1839,"date":"2023-06-12T05:57:38","date_gmt":"2023-06-12T05:57:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.northerncape.gov.za\/daerl\/2023\/06\/12\/today-08-june-2023\/"},"modified":"2023-06-12T05:57:38","modified_gmt":"2023-06-12T05:57:38","slug":"today-08-june-2023","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.northerncape.gov.za\/daerl\/2023\/06\/12\/today-08-june-2023\/","title":{"rendered":"TODAY 08 June 2023"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>TODAY 08\u00a0June 2023<\/strong>|<\/p>\n<p>The MEC of Agriculture, Environmental Affairs, Rural Development and Land Reform Mase Manopole met with farmers and farming representatives in Blocuso, Keimoes to discuss the recent hemp production regulations systems.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The MEC encouraged local farmers and manufacturers to participate in the industrialisation and commercialisation of hemp in order to increase economic growth, create jobs and alleviate poverty in the province.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe production and commercialisation of cannabis sativa has been at the forefront of national debate and ontop of the agenda of policymakers nationally and globally.
