It assist them (extension practitioners) to acquire agricultural information on their finger tips, whiles serving farmers irrespective of where they are.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>It also covers animal and plant production and GIS information that adequately bridge the gap between research, extension and the farmers.<\/p>\n<p>Advantages of ESO<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Empower extension for better service delivery<\/li>\n<li>Repair the relationship of trust between extension and farmers<\/li>\n<li>Entrenched extension in agriculture in South Africa<\/li>\n<li>Contributing in improved Agricultural production<\/li>\n<li>Contribute to food security in the country<\/li>\n<li>And users who utilise the system use it extensively.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Since its inception in 2010 about 2011 extension practitioners have been trained in the country and 71 in the province.
