The Department of Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development’s Veterinary Services held a two day Scientific Workshop in Upington on the 7& 8 December 2011.
The objective of the workshop was to provide scientific information to officials and further share new approaches on scientific control methods.

The aim of the campaign is to educate farmers about control measures of the disease and their duties as stipulated in the Animal Diseases Act. The theme for the Campaign is “War against Sheep Scab”.

The MEC for Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development, in the Northern Cape Mr Norman Shushu will be launching the National Fencing Scheme on Wednesday, 20th March 2013 at Loopeng Village in the Joe Morolong Municipality. The Department has invested an amount of six million towards the project.
