Foot and Mouth Disease Outbreak – Farmers cautioned to take strict measures.

FOLLOWING the outbreak of Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD) which was confirmed on a farm in the Molemole Local Municipality of Capricorn District, Limpopo Province, the Department of Agriculture, Land Reform, Rural Development, Environment and Nature Conservation has put measures in place to stop the spread of the disease in to the Northern Cape Province.

R42 million Covid-19 relief funding for Northern Cape Farmers

IN April 2020, the Minister of Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development, Ms. Thoko Didiza announced that R1.2 billion has been aside for farmers’ relief in the country. About 1 435 Small Holder and Subsistence Farmers were assisted through the Corvid-19 intervention program in the Northern Cape.

Government has declared the month of June as Youth Month, a period set aside to pay tribute to young people for their activism and contribution to the country’s development.
