Housing Needs, Planning and Research:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Purpose<\/strong><\/p>\n

To develop and facilitate the implementation of human settlements, policies, legislation and needs research.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Functions<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

    \n
  1. Manage the implementation of housing policy, strategy and guidelines, housing norms and standards.<\/li>\n
  2. Manage the provision of advice and policy interpretation to the department, stakeholders and municipalities.<\/li>\n
  3. Develop and review provincial human settlements policies and legislation.<\/li>\n
  4. Develop and maintain province – wide medium term human settlements research.<\/li>\n
  5. Coordinate and manage human settlements market analysis\/research products.<\/li>\n
  6. Disseminate housing research products to stakeholders.<\/li>\n
  7. Develop and implement human settlements delivery – related ( external) knowledge management systems.<\/li>\n
  8. Develop and manage alternative funding mechanism through public partnership.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
