Members of the media are invited to a Provincial Government press briefing on the audit outcomes. The purpose of this briefing is to inform, explain and contextualise the provincial audit outcomes of the municipalities.
At this briefing the provincial leadership will outline steps to be taken and progress made to address key drivers and root causes of poor audit outcomes.
Media will be informed about the work that the Office of the Premier, the Department of Co-operative Governance, Human Settlements and Traditional Affairs as well as Provincial Treasury have done separately or jointly in order to rectify these poor audit outcomes.
