The Acting Premier of the Northern Cape, Ms Grizelda Cjiekella, invites members of the media to the National Skills Authority Consultative workshop to be held at the Mieta Seperepere Convention Centre from the 3-4 April 2013 starting at 8h30.
The purpose of the workshop is to:
Ensure continuous engagements and create a platform for dialogue with stakeholders on the national skills development strategy and post education and training system
Promote visibility and advocacy through increased local level presence and awareness campaigns
Interact with all post school institutions
Further to this the National Department of Higher Education will also:
Update the Province on the outcomes of the skills conference and other matters related to education and training
To monitor progress on the implementation of those outcomes and
To understand the challenges facing provinces with respect to pst-school education and training needs
In attendance will also be the chairperson of the National Skills Authority and various Provincial stakeholders.
Members of the media are welcome to attend both days.
